Each Consortium agency conducted an analysis of the most appropriate pilot project for automation. This analysis resulted in a desired variety of pilot project applications: rural shuttle service, university campus shuttle service, local connector service, arterial rapid transit, freeway/HOT lane express service, fixed-route service, point-to-point, and maintenance depot.
